It was a beautiful
day at Mountain Lake at Meaford's L.F.C.A. Training Centre. twenty six
youths and sixteen adult S.S.A. members joined with the host club, Meaford's
Rod and Gun Club, for a day of fishing. we boated out to catch the "Big
One", in boats donated and Captained by club members. At this catch
and release derby, the biggest Pickerel (25 inches) was caught by a youth
member from the host club, while the biggest Small Mouth Bass (19 inches)
was caught by one of the S.S.A. junior members. A barbeque of burgers,
hotdogs and sausage was enjoyed by all after a morning of fishing. Refreshments,
food and prizes for games, were supplied by both clubs. All members went
home, tired and with great memories.
Thank You to
the Meaford Club for the invitation. Thank You to club members for
boats and their assistance in this great day. Thank You to the Salmon
