The locks on all property gates including the Hand gun range will be changed on April 1, 2000.  New keys will be available at the general meeting in March as well as at the Awards Banquet on March 25.  As a service to those who are unable to attend club meetings we have set two other dates where you will be able to come to the clubhouse and exchange your old key for a new one provided your 2000 membership dues are paid.  The two exchange dates are Friday, March 31 from 7 until 10:00pm and Saturday, April 1 from 10:00am until 1:00pm.  If you can' t find your old key but wish a new one, the cost is $2.00.
New hatchery keys available the same dates

Owen Sound Salmon Spectacular 2000
Advance Notice for Workers

At the March meeting, we plan to have a brief description of jobs to be done at each booth along with the schedule.  Those in attendance will get first choice of their favourite jobs at the optimal times.  Please plan to attend and sign up.  Remember, the reason that we can accomplish so many conservation projects and make major purchases for the hatchery, like the egg picker, is because of the funds raised through the Spectacular and the Boat Draw.  WE NEED THE HELP OF EVERY MEMBER TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS AGAIN THIS YEAR!

O F A H Conservation Lottery Tickets

In the year 2000, the S S A decided to order 100 books of Conservation Lottery tickets.  If we sell all of these tickets, the club will generate $600 for our conservation projects.  These tickets are an easy sell.  1st prize is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd, a Low Roughneck 176 boat and trailer with a Johnson 115hp Outboard Motor valued at $93,137.  The 2nd prize is a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Sport, 6x6 Vanguard ll Argo with North Trail trailer.  The total prize package is worth over $249,000.  Presently, we aren't aware of any tickets being mailed out.  If you are interested in selling one book or more, please see me, (John Ford) at the meeting or call me at 372-0410.
